DREaM event 5 – conference Monday 9 July 2012

The DREaM project concluding event takes place at the British Library Conference Centre on Monday 9th July 2012. Fuller details will be added to programme below in due course, as will a link to the registrations page in Spring 2012.

Presentation by Dr Louise Cooke, Department of Information Science, Loughborough University followed by a panel discussion with: Dr Carla Basili, Ceris Institute, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Italy; Annie Mauger, Chief Executive of CILIP; Professor Carol Tenopir, University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
14:45-15:15 Tea and presentation of the Library and Information Science Practitioner Researcher Excellence Award by Dr Ben Goldacre
15:15-16:30 Closing keynote on research, evidence bases, decision making and policy

The venue

The conference venue is the British Library’s state of the art Conference Centre. Located in central London, the British Library Conference Centre is within easy walking distance of three mainline railway stations – St Pancras (Eurostar terminal), Euston and King’s Cross – and six tube lines, and is thus at the heart of the UK and European transportation network.

Programme committee

The conference programme has been developed by the DREaM project Principal and Co-investigators Professor Hazel Hall and Professor Charles Oppenheim. They are supported by members of the DREaM project advisory board: Dr Susie Andretta (London Metropolitan University), Dr Rossitza Atanassova British Library), Dr Michael Jubb (Research Information Network CIC), Stephanie Kenna (LIS Research Coalition) and Professor Gunilla Widén (Åbo Akademi School of Business and Economics, Finland). Christine Irving, Secretary to the Library and Information Research Group of CILIP, also provides assistance to the DREaM project.

Conference Secretariat

Edinburgh Napier University, which holds the AHRC grant for the DREaM project, provides the secretariat for the DREaM project events.
