LIS events: general listings

There are several event listings services of interest to the LIS research community. Listed below are the major sites that offer broad coverage, both in terms of subject and geographic location:

If you are organising a conference, or are looking for a conference at which to present your work, you may like to use WikiCFP, which is a wiki site for calls for papers. This includes a number of sections of relevance to LIS, such as information science, information management, information systems, and knowledge management.

Aspire Squared offers research methods courses that are of interest to LIS researchers. The next one is on social media for research on 6th March 2012. Further details can be found on the Aspire Squared web site.

(If you are interested in conferences and seminars in which the LIS Research Coalition is involved please see our pages for Coalition participation in future events and Coalition participation in past events. The past events page also includes links to all the Coalition’s presentation materials.)
