Resources specific to LIS research

  • Digital library of Information Science Technology (dLIST): Established in 2002, DLIST is a cross-institutional, subject-based, open access digital archive for the Information Sciences, including Archives and Records Management, Library and Information Science, Information Systems, Museum Informatics, and other critical information infrastructures.
  • Evidence Based Library and Information Journal (EBLIP): EBLIP is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published quarterly by the University of Alberta Learning Services and supported by an international team of editorial advisors. The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for librarians and other information professionals to discover research that may contribute to decision making in professional practice. EBLIP publishes original research and commentary on the topic of evidence based library and information practice, as well as reviews of previously published research (evidence summaries) on a wide number of topics.
  • Library and Information Research Group (LIRG): a special interest group of CILIP, LIRG maintains a resources page which links to bibliographic databases, research listings, journals, organisational web sites, resource portals, mailing and discussion lists and conference details.
  • E-prints in Library and Information Science (E-LIS): formed in 2003, this is a repository of documents in the Library and Information Science (LIS) domain.
